Increase Your Windows 7’s Portable’s Battery Life with “Power Management Reports”

Windows 7’s Power Management Reports determines why your laptop’s battery life is not as good as the manufacturer’s specification!

The Power Management Reports command performs a 60 second analysis of your computer’s energy consumption and provides you with a report listing the devices and drivers that hamper Sleep, or hinder that the full power saving features of your machine can not be utilized. It also lists if your hardware is capable of S1, S2, S3 or S4 sleep modes.
    1. Run the command prompt "CMD" as Administrator
    2. Type "powercfg -ENERGY"
    3. Locate your custom report here:  C:Windowssystem32energy-report.html
BLAKE NOTE: I personally found I needed to update a number of hardware drivers to resolve my own problems that prevented my computer from a "good sleep"
(Thanks Michael)
